Day 3, the last and final day of the 2016 Summer XC MTB Race that was held at the Mhadai Wildlife Sanctuary, located at the border of Goa and Karnataka. This was a race with handicapped timings, hence everyone had a change of a podium finish, not just the professionals.
I did not ride on day 3, but decided to document this awesome event by clicking some photos.
The rains showed no mercy, and it poured like crazy for a long time during the morning. But that did not stop the bunch of folks organizing/assisting from making their way through the jungle.
The Krishnapur Jungle Track is roughly a 22 kilometer dirt trail, where you gain a little over 500 meters of elevation. Below is my Strava activity from Race Day #2.
For all you data lovers, below is the Strava Flyby from Race Day #2. You can view a bunch of Strava users racing along the track.
Here is a sped up version of the ride from Race Day #2.
And here are the folks who completed the race on Day #3.
The winners were decided based on the those who took the least amount of time to complete all three races. So now, lets look at some winners.
